At the Chelsea Hotel in New York City, March of 2009. I had gone down with my daughter to catch Pete Seeger’s 90th birthday party at Madison Square Garden. It was a thrill to stay there and is the most interesting hotel I have ever been inside. I highly recommend it for anyone planning a trip to NYC.
With two of my greatest songwriter heroes, Jerry Jeff Walker and the late Ron Hynes at the Stan Rogers Folk Festival in Canso, Nova Scotia in July 0f 2010. That’s my son, Noah in the foreground. The way I write poetry has been greatly influenced by these two men, as well as other musicians such as Leonard Cohen and Bruce Cockburn.
